2007 World Cruise
Miami - Ft. Lauderdale - world - Ft. Lauderdale
Click here for our photos and journal of this 111 day cruise. We'll generally just stick to scenic pictures, with minimal
words and many references to other web sites for detailed info. We hope you enjoy what evolves.
Here is the original itinerary, in PDF format, as supplied by the cruise line. Actual ports, who knows, since things
usually change over the duration, due to weather and politics. ** Flash update. A week before sailing, we've been
informed we are no longer stopping in Keelung/Taipei, but instead adding Manila as a port, and a longer stay in
Ishigaki, Japan.
There are two groupings of passengers on the ship. "Full cruise" voyagers, on for the full 111 days. And "Segment
People" who come on for one or more segments of the 6 available portions of the cruise. Segments are typically 2 to 3
weeks, and ideal for those who don't have the time for the full world, but want to see ports that are out of the ordinary.
For example, there is no airport in Napoleon's St. Helena, so you can only get there by ship, usually 2 days steam from
Capetown.
370 full world cruise passengers, 450 crew, 620 total passengers, 111 days, 31,000 photos
6 segments, 5 continents, 47 ports, 27 countries, 34,147 nautical miles (63,240 km)
I like to call this an ideal egalitarian ship since every cabin has a balcony, so no one is deprived of an ocean view.
Also the evening dining is open, so you can pick a table for 2 or 4 or 6 or 8, depending on your mood that night. It's
hard not to be permanently happy on this ship !
